Taillon is a big 6-7, 230 lb right handed pitcher from The Woodlands HS north of Houston. He has a long and angular build with an excellent combination of size, strength and looseness. Taillon throws from an extended 3/4's release point from a slightly cross body delivery that is very intimidating to right hand hitters, especially when Taillon is pumping his 94-96 mph in on hitter's hands. His breaking ball is an 80-84 mph true curveball that he gets on top well and has very hard spin and a sharp, deep bite. Taillon doesn't use his change up often but it has flashed excellent life and deception. He has given a verbal commitment to Rice University. Perhaps the #1 pitcher for next year's draft with three potential plus pitches he can command.
