Tony Wolters

Position: INF
Bats: L      Throws: R
Team: West
Hometown: Vista, CA
High School: Rancho Buena Vista High School

Wolters is the smallest Aflac All-American at 5-10, 165 lbs but his highly advanced skills make him stand out among his peers. He is a left handed hitter with an advanced ability to handle the bat and square up against all types of pitching. Wolters also has surprising power for his size; he hit two grand slams at the WWBA 18U National Championships earlier this summer. He has the tools to play both shortstop and second base at the highest levels, although it's more common to project him to second base. Wolters is likely to take that projection as a challenge and play above his tools as he has outstanding make up and is considered an ultimate baseball rat. He is even an outstanding catcher. He has a verbal agreement to attend University of San Diego. Wolters might just be the best overall baseball player in the entire 2010 class.
